A coated floor is low maintenance, not no maintenance. A few simple habits protect both the look of the floor and the coverage behind it.
Your floor is sealed and non-porous, so most messes wipe up instead of soaking in. What wears a coating down over time is not spills — it is grit, salt, and dragged metal working against the top coat day after day.
Reasonable care also keeps your warranty coverage intact. Workmanship coverage protects the installation; it is not meant to cover damage from harsh chemicals, abrasive tools, or neglect.
Vehicles carry salt brine and sand straight into the garage all winter. As the snow melts off, that residue dries into an abrasive film that grinds against the finish every time you walk or drive on it. Keep mats under the tires, sweep the sand out regularly, and give the whole floor a thorough rinse once the season breaks. Snow melt puddles should be squeegeed rather than left to sit for days.
