Question 1

How long does installation take?

Accepted Answer

Most residential garages are completed in two days. Day one is prep — diamond grinding, crack repair and the base coat with the flake broadcast. Day two is the scrape-down and top coat. Larger or heavily damaged slabs can take longer, and we tell you before we start.

Question 2

Is there odor or downtime after coating?

Accepted Answer

The coatings we use are low-odor compared to older solvent-based epoxies, and any smell fades within a day or two with the garage door open. You'll need to keep the space clear during the install and through the initial cure.

Question 3

Is it safe for pets and kids?

Accepted Answer

Once fully cured the floor is inert, easy to clean and safe for pets and children. During installation and the first cure period, keep pets and kids out of the garage. Our Showroom and Ultimate packages also include an anti-slip additive for better traction when the floor is wet.

Question 4

How long is the warranty?

Accepted Answer

Essential is backed by a 1-year warranty. Showroom and Rhino Ultimate are backed by a lifetime warranty. You'll see the exact terms in your written quote before any work starts.

Question 5

Do I need to prep my garage before you arrive?

Accepted Answer

Just empty it. Move vehicles, tools, shelving and stored items out of the space before install day so we have a clear slab. All surface prep — cleaning, degreasing, diamond grinding and crack repair — is our job and is included in every package.

Question 6

Can you coat over existing epoxy or paint?

Accepted Answer

Usually yes, but not by coating straight over it. Old coatings and paint are ground off during prep so the new system bonds to bare, opened concrete. If a previous coating is failing or peeling, that's a sign it was applied over inadequate prep — we'll assess it during your inspection.

Question 7

What's included in a free inspection?

Accepted Answer

We walk your slab and check five things: overall condition and cracking, moisture, any existing coating, the layout and drainage, and your goals for the space. You get a clear recommendation and a written quote for the package that fits — no pressure and no obligation.

Question 8

Do you offer financing?

Accepted Answer

Financing options vary. Ask us during your free inspection and we'll tell you exactly what's available for your project at that time.

Question 9

How soon can I park in my garage after coating?

Accepted Answer

You can walk on the floor about 12 hours after the final coat. Wait 5 days before parking vehicles on it so the coating reaches full cure and resists hot-tire pickup.

Question 10

What towns do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We cover Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut, including West Springfield, Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, Agawam, Springfield, Chicopee, Wilbraham, Hampden, Ludlow and Southwick. See the service area page for the full town list.
